The NBC/Universal extranet is used internally by the peacock network itself, its family of channels (Bravo, Univision, MSNBC and 10 others) as well as all advertisers for all stations. Needless to say, the system is a major hub for the lifeblood (advertising) of the company and its usage, or rather lack there of, was a major issue when the DIF team was brought on board. The ex-net was extremely cluttered, scattered and simply, in the clients words, “a mess.” The menu(s) were scattered all over for each sub-site. The sub-sites themselves weren’t defined by enough visual cues, hence the end user would too easily get lost in the wrong section of the ex-net. The site was completely HTML based and not cross browser compatible. DIF submitted two seperate designs and went through 20 rounds of revisions to complete the entire portal. It is used by thousands of people everyday to make the networks flow.

The sites needed to be high impact Flash that would showcase the HD quality and top notch production value of the Warner Video Properties. Di-F was in charge of concepting and developing the entire site, its copy and all functionality. The WB was a happy company and each release was ignited by the success of the websites.

Qualcomm’s MediaFLO is quickly becoming the world wide leading solution for streaming media. It’s an over the air transfer of video and audio that is being adapted by some of the largest carriers (ATT, Verizon) and technology companies (Samsung, LG). Qualcomm invested 800 million dollars in the “start up” MediaFLO and the AOR, JHG, brought Di-F in to work our magic on the MUI website. Di-F worked directly with Qualcomm and the JHG team to assess the input and directives. With the recommendation of Di-F, JHG proposed a marketing site that was more consumer oriented and less “corporate.” The new site showcased the partner brands (NBC, ESPN, CBS, Nickelodeon, Comedy Cenral, CBS, MLB. and many more) with Flash video. The Di-F team was able to deliver the site, along with the JHG and Qualcomm IT teams successfully on the JSP platform.

With clients such as Aerosmith, Depeche Mode, Ozzy Osbourne and a roster that goes on like the invite list for the grammy’s, MSO needed to usher its web presence in to the 21st century. They were the first PR firm to post its artists and press releases on the web in 1996 and contracted design is fuel to transform its 1400+ articles of press releases and content in to a music industry hub and reference point. The website and its content was not easily editable, the design lacked the professional touch that MSO imprints on everything it touches and the company’s identity needed to be “freshened up.” Di-F worked directly with Mitch Schneider and his team of talented PR directors to create a website that fits the MSO workflow and exceeded the MSO standards of excellence. Di-F used the Drupal platform to create a website that is edited by publicists who have little to no knowledge of HTML, but are able to create press releases to exact MSO visual specifications.

Jansport, a division of VF Outdoor, contracted Di-F to help transition the brand in to the younger social network obsessed generation. The marketing team asked us to design a series of microsites to connect an offline concert touring event campaign (including Bonnaroo) with their massive user base in to web 2.0/socially networked bliss. First we created an event photo booth at Bonnaroo which allowed photos to be taken and then instantly posted on to the Jansport/Bonnaroo website via the Flickr API. After the huge viral success of the Bonnaroo event microsite, we then created a full “Jansport Battle of the Bands” competition which acquired thousands of entrants. Jansport, via the slick voting and competition system we created, was able to parse through the entrants to 8 finalists. The finalists were given widget to spread over the internet in order to acquire votes and raise awareness of the competition. The people chose a winner, Jansport already was…

The largest Hip hop concert festival tour is produced by Guerilla Union. After receiving sponsorships from GoTV and Sandisk, GU needed a digital distribution plan as well as a print and online campaign designed. Di-F was there to deliver with rave reviews. After producing an entire festival catalog for distribution across mobile phones, Di-F designed a set of advertisements which were distributed to over 1,000,000 hip hop fanatics. The online segment of the campaign involved creating a Flash application which allowed users to sign up for GU’s mobile video channel. Di-F once again came in on time and under budget.
